It's time again for Blogger Blüten, hosted by Gesine in Berlin.
The large July bloom in my garden is over, and now the lateblooming perennials are opening. Blue, yellow, purple and white are the dominating colours.

Aconitum napellus is an old and much used perennial in Norway, especially in the Northern parts of the country, due to its hardyness. There are many varieties of acontium. In my garden I have three; two different blue varieties and one bicoloured white and blue.

Acontium napellus is poisonous!

It self seeds easily, it is long living and can grow on the same spot for many years. I have read that Acontium napellus likes a moisty gowing place in semi shade, however my plants are placed in full sun and are thriving.

Rubeckia laciniata (?), honeysuckle and giant scabious.

The coreopsis is still in bloom.

Not sure what this is. Possibly a Rubeckia laciniata?

The tall telekias look very nice now, and are favoured by bees and butterflies, and my young, newly planted, variegated lysimachia is in bloom too.

Geranium. I really like the colour of the flowers.

Verbascum, scabious and mint.

Funny flowers on the rose plantain. This plant is new to my garden. Rose plantain has the same properties as common plantain. There are several flowers on it, and I hope it will self seed.

I have several clusters of white rubeckias in my garden. They have all opened now, and are looking just lovely. Frequently visited by bees and butterflies.

Så nydelige de blå blomstene er! Vi har samme gule rudbeckia, de har spredd seg fra naboen... Helt greit det, verre med bregnene....
Så deilig å komme innom hos deg og bare nyte de vakre blomstene! Balsam for sjelen:o)

Dear Hilde,
your flowers are all so pretty! But the most interesting flower for me is the rose plantain, I´ve never heard about it before!
Best wishes to Norway, I hope you are fine after what happened in your lovely country!
Hei!
klem
