More blooming from the garden, this time in pink and purple colours.
The bee balm (Monarda) looks amazing right now. Bee balm ccomes in a variety of colours. Mine are a mix of pink and purple flowers. All plants were started from seeds from the same package, so I do not know why they have differnt colours.
Bee balm originates from North America, and were traditionally used by the Native Americans in a tea infusion to treat stomach problems.

I have lots of pink veronicas in my garden, they look wonderful now. Most of them grow in the long flower bed by the mound. Veronica and mallow in the photo above, and veronica and hyssop in the photo below.
The wild geranium has a little second bloom.
The first flowers showing on Thalictrum rochebrunianum. Very sweet.
And this is what the large flower bed in the bottom of the garden looks like now; the mallow lying flat covering the path. In spring I must put up a support fencing and also remove some perennials here...
The Centaurea looks very nice this year, and it has grown unexpectably tall, way over 1 metre. It might be because it has fought its way against the light/sun between all the tall neighbour plants. The flowers are very sweet.
Centaurea is an old dye plant, which dyes wool and wool yarn in yellowish tones. I have been planning to dye with it sometime, and if I am to do it this summer now is the time.
